Hello there, I am the Prospective Labour MP for the University of York. I am a graduate of the University and I served as YUSU President from 2004 to 2005.

I am a young, local Labour Councillor. I won my seat against the national trend, from the Liberal Democrats. More recently I have also been elected as York's Children and Young People's Champion.

I am hoping to use this medium to let you know what it is like to be a Councillor, what it is like to stand for Parliament, to build a conversation between myself and students and to encourage more people to get involved in our community. It is time that more ordinary people like me got involved in politics. I think it is time for change.
